mission trips are always lots of fun and the one i went on last week was amazing. i don't live in a poor city, actualy i live somewhere where you wouldn't even know someone was homeless when you saw them but on this mission trip for my church we ended talking with all these homeless people and thier stories were amazing. one lady -Wanda- had once been a drug addict and if you looked at her now, you'd have never known that she had even tried anything. and when Andy showed us a picture of him when he was homeless you'd think how could this big homeless guy that used to serve in the army, be so good at writeing poetry...? and when we worked with the little kids at a few other churches' daycare, the joy on the kids' faces when they learned that they'd get to play new games, was amazing. when we helped at Daily Bread and the food bank we were thanked and told we were a tremendous help. at Corrizone ministies, helped cook and serve and just talked and listened to these people.... and if i know any or all of the people who went, i'm sure all of them could never forget (or wold want to) what we did down there to help.
